Six origins on display. Every one fresh.
High borosilicate glass — heat-resistant, oil-proof, food-safe
The tubes are made from high borosilicate glass — the same grade used in laboratory equipment and premium drinkware. It doesn't cloud, stain, or absorb coffee oils over time. Dishwasher safe and heat-resistant, so you can rinse them with hot water between bean changes without worrying about cracking or warping. The full transparency shows off the beans — colour, roast level, and variety are all visible at a glance.
Threaded screw cap — airtight seal, aroma preserved
Each tube has a threaded screw cap that creates an airtight, moisture-proof seal. Coffee beans go stale from oxygen exposure — once you open a bag, every hour the beans are exposed accelerates oxidation and degassing. The screw cap keeps each tube sealed independently, so you can open one origin without exposing the other five. Aroma stays in the tube until you unscrew it to dose.
Solid walnut wood base — stable, non-slip, counter-ready
The circular base is solid walnut — the same wood used in premium coffee tools and the Gik Onyx hand grinder knob. It's dense enough that the full set doesn't tip or slide on a counter surface. The six-slot circular arrangement keeps the tubes upright and accessible without taking up linear counter space. The walnut grain ages and darkens naturally with use.
35g per tube — single-dose to small batch storage
Each tube holds up to 35g of coffee beans — enough for one to two doses depending on your brew method and recipe. For a 15g pour-over dose, each tube holds two full brews. For an 18–20g espresso dose, each tube holds one full shot with a small buffer. The 35g capacity keeps portions small and rotation frequent, which is the right approach to coffee freshness.
Three ways to use the Gik G40 Bean Tubes.
Whether you're a home brewer rotating through origins, or a café owner showing customers what's on offer — the tubes work the same way.

Gifting
Coffee flightand tasting set
Fill all six tubes with different origins or roast profiles and give it as a coffee gift set. The walnut base and borosilicate glass tubes present well without additional packaging. A six-origin tasting flight in a self-standing display is a gift that works for any level of coffee drinker.
Built to last. Built to clean.
All-metal construction, CNC-machined burr seat, and a tool-free assembly that makes cleaning a 30-second job — not a reason to avoid it.
Answered.
How much coffee fits in each tube?
35g per tube. For a 15g pour-over dose, that's two full brews per tube. For an 18–20g espresso dose, one full shot with a small buffer. The 35g capacity is intentionally small — it keeps each tube's contents rotating frequently, which means fresher beans every session.
How airtight is the screw cap?
The threaded screw cap creates a moisture-proof, airtight seal. It's significantly better than a loose cork or a resealable bag. For short-term storage — a few days to a week between uses — the sealed tube keeps beans fresh and aroma intact. For longer storage, keep the tubes away from direct light and heat.
Can I use these for beans other than coffee?
Yes — the borosilicate glass tubes are food-safe and work for any dry ingredient. Tea leaves, dried herbs, spice blends, or whole grains all work. The 35g capacity and clear glass make them useful for any counter display of small dry goods.
Are the tubes dishwasher safe?
The glass tubes are dishwasher safe — high borosilicate glass handles heat without cracking or clouding. The walnut base should be hand-washed and dried immediately, not put in the dishwasher, as sustained water exposure will damage the wood over time.
Do the tubes come with labels?
The tubes do not come with pre-printed labels. For a café setup, small adhesive labels or chalk markers work well directly on the glass — borosilicate glass accepts chalk marker cleanly and wipes off with a damp cloth when you change the origin. For home use, simple paper tags tied with twine give a clean presentation.
